MVRMC Promotes Hand Hygiene & Medication Lists at the
Jerome Co. Fair
Date: July 29, 2005
Magic Valley Regional Medical Center invites you to join us at the Jerome County Fair,
August 2 – 6. Our booth is located in the Messersmith Building. In an effort to educate the
public of the importance of hand hygiene, Infection Control Practitioner, Trish Heath, will be
in the booth on Tuesday, August 2, from 12 noon to 4 p.m. to discuss hand hygiene. Hand
hygiene is the single best way to prevent the spread of infectious diseases – and it is easy!
Free samples of Purell will be given to booth visitors. Supplies are limited so come early.
Throughout the Fair, MVRMC is also promoting the use of medication lists. Stop by the
MVRMC booth to pick up a wallet-sized Medication List in which you may detail your medications
including dosages, frequencies, and any allergies. Whether you use prescription drugs,
non-prescription medicines, or herbal supplements it is critically important to keep this
information updated in a list that doctors and healthcare providers can use. Medication lists
are one simple way to ensure you get the most effective and efficient treatments you need in a
safe and timely manner.
And as is tradition at our hospital booth, Magic Valley Regional Medical Center nurses
volunteer their time to provide free blood pressure checks. Stop by during the following
hours:
· 12 noon – 8 p.m. Tuesday, August 2 through Thursday, August 4
· 12 – 4 p.m. Friday, August 5
· 4 – 8 p.m. Saturday, August 6
