Twin Falls Chamber of Commerce Honors MVRMC CEO As Volunteer of the Year
Date: January 26, 2006
Magic Valley Regional Medical Center is proud to announce that the Twin Falls Chamber of Commerce has named John Kee, Chief Executive Officer, the 2005 Volunteer of the Year. According to Shawn Barigar, Chamber CEO stated, “Chosen by Chamber staff, this is the person who stands out in our minds for their work over the past 12 months.” According to Barigar, sometimes the Volunteer is the “do-er” who offers help with events, projects and activities. Other times they are the silent supporters who can be counted on to offer advice and whole-hearted support for the mission of the Chamber and the people working to implement it.
The award was presented at the Annual Chamber Banquet on Monday, January 23. Another MVRMC employee, Page Geske, Director of the Magic Valley Safe Kids Coalition, was also honored as a 2005 nominee for the Chamber Ambassadors Person of the Year Award. Barigar explained, “This award recognizes community members for their active support of he community, the Chamber, and making the Twin Falls area the great place it is in which to live and do business. Page Geske was nominated for her commitment to the Safe Kids Coalition in their efforts to prevent unintentional injury to children.”
“On behalf of MVRMC, we congratulate John Kee and Page Geske for these honors,” stated Kent Loosle, MVRMC Chief Operating Officer. “We greatly appreciate their dedication to improving healthcare and quality of life in the Magic Valley. ”
